SABRe

Promotion videos, 2014.

SABRe stands for Sensor Augmented Bass Clarinet - it is a standard acoustic bass clarinet equipped with multiple sensors. The SABRe maintains the acoustic qualities of the original instrument, yet also may be used as a controller that sends data to a computer. The sensors capture the movement and position of the instrument, the airpressure produced by the player, and the processes of the fingers on the keys. This opens a wide range of new musical possibilities for composition and performance.
